The Invisalign Process

  • 01

    Appointment 1: Full Examination

    Examine radiographs, analyze teeth, discuss cosmetic goals and functional concerns. Take photos and impressions of teeth.

    Appointment 2: Custom Treatment Plan

    About two weeks later, use ClinCheck 3D simulation to estimate treatment time based on precise movements of each tooth before ordering aligners.

  • 03

    Appointment 3: Anchors and First Tray

    Attach small, tooth-colored anchors to teeth that help with repositioning. Insert first tray and provide treatment and care instruction.

  • 04

    Appointment 4: Assessment and Additional Trays

    After two weeks, assess fit, progress, and answer questions before providing the next two trays.

  • 05

    Every Two Months: Follow-Up Assessments

    Check in on progress and provide additional trays as needed until treatment is complete.

Choosing to wear Invisalign® is a commitment and we want you to feel completely informed. Here are some of the questions we often receive from our patients.

  • It depends on what goals we’re trying to accomplish. Treatment typically ranges from 3 months to 2 years.

  • Because your Invisalign treatment plan is customized to your unique cosmetic goals, the cost will vary based on the results you’re looking for and length of treatment required.

  • Cleaning is simple. Simply remove your aligners (like you would a retainer) and rinse with warm water. Then, just snap them back into place.

  • For best results, aligners should be worn 16 hours a day, every day. Ideally, you should only remove them to eat, brush, and floss.

  • Moving teeth can cause some mild discomfort. Discomfort is usually temporary and can be easily managed with over-the-counter pain medication.
